Jessewi GlassFix — Windshield Chip & Crack Repair Kit

Jessewi GlassFix is a consumer DIY resin kit for small chips and short cracks in laminated glass. The resin fills the void left by the impact and bonds to the surrounding glass. That restores light transmission through the damaged area, so the chip becomes far less noticeable, and it removes the air gap where cracks typically start to run.

In the box: 1 x resin applicator (16 g) with a fine precision tip, 5 x curing films, 1 x razor blade, and illustrated instructions.

1. Clean and dry the damaged area. Work in the shade, on glass that is not hot to the touch.

2. Apply the resin directly into the chip, then cover it with a curing film.

3. Press out air bubbles with the razor blade so the resin fills the damage completely.

4. Cure in sunlight for 10 to 30 minutes, or use a UV lamp. Peel the film and scrape away the excess.

Good candidates: bullseye and star chips roughly up to the size of a quarter, short hairline and crescent cracks, and combination breaks from road debris.

Not suitable: shattered or spider-webbed glass, cracks longer than about 6 inches or reaching the edge of the windshield, damage in the driver's primary line of sight, and chips with dirt or water already sealed inside.

This is a cosmetic and preventative repair, not a factory restoration, and not a substitute for professional repair or windshield replacement. A treated chip usually stays faintly visible. Results vary with the shape, depth and age of the damage.

Contains acrylic resin. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with skin and eyes; rinse with plenty of water if contact occurs. Use in a ventilated area. Do not swallow. Do not drive while the resin is curing.
